The Camping Riuferrer
The Riuferrer campsite is located in the department 66, most south of France, a sunny cradle, bordering Spain, its diversity of landscapes, Mediterranean Sea, Pyrenees Mountains, North Catalonia, its wealth of heritage and its memory of traditions.
There are so many things to discover, come camping or rent a mobil home and let yourself be guided…
The Campsite
The CAMPSITE DU RIUFERRER on the banks of the river Riuferrer from which it takes its name, an unpolluted river rising from the Canigou mountains. The name means ‘river of iron’. Running down the mountainside from ancient iron mines, the water is full of iron, good for the kidneys.
Not too deep and with pleasant rock pools to bathe in, it’s also an ideal place to drink your evening aperitif!
The CAMPSITE DU RIUFERRER extends over about 11 acres and has been in the family LARREUR since 1966. The number of regular visitors, returning each year for holidays in the sun and for the friendly family atmosphere, continues to increase.
The CAMPING DU RIUFERRER is set in luxurious vegetation offering a natural ‘oxygen tent’. The air is CLEAN, PURE and DRY – refreshing but also calming. Situated in a quiet residential area away from the main road, the nights are quiet and calm. The local climate is an ideal complement to the thermal cures offered at nearby Amelie Les Bains (4km).
